Are you a racist, a homophobe, or a moron? According to Crash the Tea Party You are all of those if you are part of the Tea Party movement.

The above picture shows part of a website whose express purpose is to “Crash the Tea Party.” The url is www.crashtheteaparty.org.

It calls for people to discredit the tea party. Crash the Tea Party describes the Tea Party movement of consisting of “a loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons; who constitute the fake grass roots movement which calls itself “The Tea Party.”

Their purpose is to exaggerate the most the least appealing qualities of the tea party.

Last night I was shocked to see  CBS Channel 2 of Chicago, apparently follow the lead of the “Crash the Tea Party Movement. ” This television station showed a story featuring one of their supposed journalists named Mike Parker. The so called news item was titled "Controversy Brews over NW Indiana Tea Party Group." You can read the full transcript at http://cbs2chicago.com/local/tea.party.northwest.2.1631028.html

Despite attempting to pass this off as a news story rather than an opinion piece there is no doubt of Parker’s Bias. The piece opened by Parker saying, “Critics of the so-called “Tea Party” movement….” It would seem by now the movement is pretty well established, and to refer to it as the “so-called Tea Party movement” was an obvious effort to dismiss its credibility.

There are tea parties in Chicago and its suburbs, why did CBS have to go to Indiana?

Perhaps they thought the Indiana Tea Party groups best fit their agenda to do a dismissive story.
Perhaps they thought the Indiana Tea Party groups best fit their agenda to do a dismissive story.

I visited the  channel two news web site and  left the following comment, “Mike, Why did you have to go to NW Indiana to find a leader of the Tea Party Movement? Was it because you are a true journalist, or was it because you are following the instructions of certain liberals to discredit the tea party? I don't recall you seeking out the radical anti war protesters who carried "Assassinate Bush" signs.”

I looked up the url of Crash the Tea Party at whois.com. The site was registered fictitiously to Ben Franklin on Chestnut St. in Philadelphia. I say Ben it is a sad state of affairs when you have so little backbone you cannot register your web site under your own name.

It is ironic that this group who charges that members of the Tea Party Group have a “pre-existing propensity for paranoia and suspicion” seeks to infiltrate the Tea Party events and observe their meetings and rallies and then use every opportunity to “exaggerate their least appealing qualities.” Golly if I knew that someone like you was trying to do that to me I guess I could be paranoid and suspicious.

It would be too much to expect whoever the members of the Crash the Tea Party organization are to slither out from under their rocks and debate the issues . Of course you won’t come out of your hiding places. Instead you will continue to skirt the issues by accusing hardworking men and women who have the courage to be seen and heard of being racists, homophobes, and morons.

I for one will boycott any news outlet that I feel has been influenced by the move to crash the tea party, and urge anyone who believes objective reporting to do likewise.

Bias?

Do you think CBS in Chicago was biased against the Tea Party when they did their story?

Excellent hub Keith! It is imperative that this infiltration op becomes common knowledge. And it's so typical of what they do - sneak in and destroy, co-opt and discredit. I've been posting about this in the forums as often as I can. Many of our more liberal hubbers get kinda quiet when I do. I wonder why? :)

Thank you for the comment. Instead of infiltration op, I prefer to call it what it is... a fifth column movement, a strategy to vilify and demean opposition whose power concerns you.

While we are inspired by the original Boston Tea Party, Democrats are inspired by Woodstock and those great days of anti-war riots. I've seen both, the riots and the Tea Parties. I know who the good guys are.

yes, popular mythology overlooks the mud hole that woodstock became. let us not turn the country into another woodstock.

Wow, so we don't want love and peace but we do want people creating disgusting scenes to prove points that are not necessarily true and claim they speak for "most americans" when they clearly do not. I hope these people just go away because they serve no useful purpose. They are just doing what Republicans always do when there is a Democrat in the White house. But it was Okay for Bush to run this country into a 12 trillion dollar deficit, 2 wars and hated by the rest of the world. No there should be no taxes, and we esp. shouldn't tax the rich. Lets keep putting on the backs of the middle class or wait, have none at all, then when our economy really tanks and we go into a mind numbing depression we can blame the dems for that too. makes sense, right?

What I think needs to be done is the Tea Partiers need to see who's really calling the shots; and to me that's Corporations and their CEO's.

I won't argue with you. I am not naive enough not to be wary of any larger organization. Any human institution whether it be corporations, or government or religion is what it is. It is people that either make it corrupt, ineffective, or dangerous.

When it comes to dangerous government trumps any other institutions. Stalin and Hitler are excellent examples of that. Their governments killed caused the death and dislocation of far more people in the 20th century than any other organization in the history of the world.

If you wish to be suspicious of corporations I think that is good. The ten richest people in America are liberals. They didn't make their money running charities. If you don't believe me start with Warren Buffet and work down.

Any person who thinks it is only one human institution that can be rotten is naive. All need to be kept in check.

If you don't believe me start with Warren Buffet and work downward.
