Unsurprisingly, the record of The Chinese government for passing legislation that protects animals against cruelty is more flawed than its human rights record.
China’s record for producing shoddy and/or unhealthy products that include everything from baby formula to dog food is well known. It’s no surprise surprise that in an effort to undersell their competition in the fur business Chinese fur companies lower their costs in the most barbarous and horrific ways imaginable.

The fur business as only China can practice it is documented in a very graphic and disturbing video featuring Heather Mills as narrator. You can view the video link below right . However, a warning must be posted. The acts of cruelty shown in this video are so horrific that it is extremely difficult to watch. In fact the viewer may not believe what he or she sees.

No producer of films in Hollywood would dream of doing something as horrific as shown in this video about the Chinese fur industry.
I gagged when I watched the video!
When I viewed the video about the Chinese Fur business, I gagged. I think the only instance when I was more profoundly affected by images was when I viewed film from the Nazi death camps for the first time.
Mills urges people after they view the video to make a decision about purchasing items trimmed with fur that are made in China, or to even consider not purchasing any fur-trimmed item because the fur may have originated in China.
It is likely anyone who views the video will have more than their attitude about the fur trade changed. One will have a tough time not wondering how a government allows such cruelty to exist and not make laws to stop it.
Do you really want to do business with a government that allows industry to skin animals alive?
Most would argue government that has no laws that prevent animals from being skinned alive should be chastised instead of apologized to by an US Under Secretary of State. The correct action would have been to ignore the Chinese comments about US human rights practices and to have walked out of the room.
Typically, oppressive governments do not have a sparkling record when it comes to laws governing the humane treatment of animals. There is a small gap between the inhumane and cruel treatment of animals and the inhumane and cruel treatment of people. Many if not all serial killers began their careers torturing and killing animals before they turned to people.
Currently, little is heard about the violation of the human rights of Chinese citizens. The United States of debt is fearful of criticizing the Chinese government. Instead of standing up to China and reminding the world of China's heinous human rights record, the US of Debt apologizes to China for a law made by the people of AZ and supported by the majority of the citizens.
Should the U.S. of Debt owe so much money to China?
Perhaps the little video narrated by Heather Mills will make some think about the country that the U.S continues to allow itself to become more and more in debt. Maybe the United States of Debt should stop and think for a moment about not only fur, but to whom it is selling its future. Perhaps some day the United States of Debt will wake up before it is metaphorically skinned alive by China.

I'm back to correct myself. It isn't Chinese airlines, it was a Chinese astronaut who said they eat dog meat to keep their strength up while in orbit. While I was hunting for that, I came across a CNN web site report about a Chinese cat and dog meat market in Guangzhou, Chine, in March 2010.
Well, that was absolutely gruesome. My heart aches for the animals. Those poor defenseless creatures...
I don't wish to seem cruel Barbara. However, your heart will ache along time unless something more is done about this than feeling sorry for these animals.
As long as you and I, and Hillary and the President do nothing about China's poor record on everything from skinning animals alive to its less than sterling human rights record cruelty to both animals and humans shall continue.
Please somebody ask an ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION TO make a petition to END THIS ANIMAL CRUELTY. I can´t do it because I´m not from the U.S.

Let us not make a mistake and suggest all Chinese people don't have love or compassion for animals. That's not true, and frankly under the communist regieme some chinese people risked their lives to protect dogs from being exterminated.
The lesson to be learned is that a government that allows this to happen in order to gain foreign trade should be suspect. One wonders what else it would/could do in order to increase its strength.
I think awareness among shoppers to not buy any clothing goods made from animals. It will automatically reduce demand for such items. I think it us we have to start with. What others thing?
The Chinese people or doing some awful things to dogs ,and I do not approve of it ,they eat dogs ,they Slater them like they weren't any thing .They kill and skin them alive and then eat them ,this made me so sick when I saw photos on the Internet about this .I was raised on a farm and we did kill our pigs,cow,and chickens for food ,But My Father had this man do it and I could see he was very caring in how he killed them .I'm 62 and I have never or will never have any thing with fur .It has always been disturbing to me to see people with furs on ,my hole life .It's like do you know were that fur come from and how it was taking from the animal.I thing all our government's and laws or to slack when it comes to killing animals .I could go on and on but I thank you see how I feel.Sherry
China is cruel and anywhere outside of the US does not regard any animal as a sentient being not even close. Its cultural...I suppose and no evolvement for the most part- no laws governing treatment of animals..The US is not much better. We are making strides but if you check out the standards for chickens for example. Kentucky Fried I think drags them alive thru electrically charged water to kill them... We cut their beaks off so they dont peck each other to death in the cramped cages that are filthy....I could go on buy why? do the research and YOu will find the US has a long way to go..check out S.H.A.R.K a reputable nonprofit that vidotapes abuse all over the country...how do we change? by example and education..and somehow proving that humane treatment of animals benefits not only them but the entire planet.

China must be held up as the example of successful communism, no matter their treatment of people or animals. Correct me if I'm wrong, but last week it seems I heard on TV that China will be serving dog on its airline.
